Obituary:
YORK- Phyllis V. (Kling) Dellinger, 85, passed away Friday, January 9, 2015 at Country Meadows Senior Living Community of York- West. She was the wife of the late Harvey A. Dellinger to whom she was married 57 years.

A Celebration of Life tribute service will be held at 2 PM on Wednesday, January 14, 2015 at Heffner Funeral Chapel & Crematory, Inc., 1551 Kenneth Road, York, with The Reverend Michael K. Fischer, Chaplain of Country Meadows, officiating. A viewing will be held from 1-2 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in Salem Community Cemetery.

Born July 8, 1929 in Bittersville, Phyllis was a daughter of the late Raymond G. and Laura (Graham) Kling. In her early career, Phyllis worked for various cigar factories in Windsor. She then worked for Cor-Box Inc. in York and then as an elevator operator for Zell Brothers Inc. in Red Lion.

Mrs. Dellinger was a lifelong member of the Bittersville United Methodist Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday school. She was also an active member of the Susquehanna Senior Center in Martinsville. Phyllis loved to make pot pies, canning and watch baseball. She will be greatly missed by all who knew her.

Mrs. Dellinger is survived by a son, David M. Dellinger and his wife Deirdre; a daughter, Tina M. (Dellinger) (Urey) Craumer and her husband Clark; five grandchildren, Jessica (Urey) Rineer, Johnathan Urey, Daniel Dellinger, Devon Dellinger and Drew Dellinger; a great grandson, Nathan Rineer; two sisters, Beverly (Kling) Gibbs and Sarah (Kling) Miller; and numerous nieces and nephews. Along with her husband and parents, Phyllis was preceded in death by six brothers, Earl Kling, Lloyd (Johnny) Kling, Charles Kling, George Raymond Kling, Jr., George Nick (Jim) Kling, and Billy Jean Kling; and two sisters, Geraldine (Kling) Smeltzer and Rosetta (Kling) Richardson.
