Mrs. Helen Brooks was buried from the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus Locke. 137 West street, at 2 p. m. today Rev. Dr. Scott spoke words of comfort and cheer to the relatives and friends of the deceased, who were present in large numbers. There was singing by the Orthodox Sunday school class, of which Mrs. Brooks was a member, Mrs. C. C Lawrence, teacher. The bearers were Joseph E, James H, Benjamin S and Charles A. Locke, brothers. Many floral offerings attested the popularity of the young lady whose untimely death leaves a void, not only in the family circle, but among her former friends and companions. The burial took place in the family lot at Evergreen.
