EPHRATA - Susan M. Park, 68, of Ephrata, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, at the Columbia Basin Hospital in Ephrata of cancer.

She was born March 21, 1927, in Ash Flat, Ark., to Elton and Crystal (King) Horton. She grew up in Ash Flat and received her education there.

She moved to Wenatchee in 1945, where she worked at the then Poulsons Cafe and the Sears store, both on Wenatchee Avenue at that time.

In April of 1946, she met her husband Eugene Park. They were married on July 27, 1946.

Susan enjoyed family and friends. She also enjoyed crocheting and made many afghans for family members and friends. She will always be remembered for her kindness, compassion and generosity.

She leaves her husband, at home; a daughter, Charlotte Hardin of Marysville; five brothers, Clyde Horton in East Wenatchee, Denny of Monitor, Glen, Bill and Jim of Ash Flat, Ark.; three sisters, Marie Shales and Joyce Mooney of East Wenatchee and Bonnie Nelson of Ash Flat, Ark.; a grandson, Donnie Hardin in Marysville; a granddaughter, Lela Hardin in Seattle; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
