Deceased Name: Clifford Reed Hansen BRIGHAM CITY -

Clifford Reed Hansen, 84 passed away Aug. 2, 2007 at Pioneer Care Center in Brigham City after a courageous battle with bone marrow cancer.

He was born Jan. 14, 1923 in Pleasant View, Utah to Rulon Clifford and Sylvia Nelson Hansen. He had one older sister, Faye and three younger brothers, Arden, Howard, and Doyle.

He was raised on a farm in Mantua, Utah and had a happy childhood there. He graduated from Box Elder High School. He was then drafted into the Army, where he served our country for three years during WWII. He returned home and married his High School sweetheart, Margaret Harper on June 28, 1946 in the Salt Lake L.D.S. Temple.

They made their home in Logan, Utah. They had a son, Dennis, who died at four months of age, and four daughters; Janet, Linda, Annette, and Debbie.

Reed graduated from the Utah State Agricultural College (USU) in 1949 and worked for the Bureau of Reclamation as an Agronomist (soil scientist).

In 1968 he was transferred to Ephrata, Washington. It was there that Margaret passed away following a kidney transplant. He later married Faye Shaw in the Cardston Temple. She passed away from cancer. He married Carol M. Jensen in the Ogden Temple in 1985. They were able to spend 22 years together and brought much happiness into each others lives.

He was an active and faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He served in many positions including Ward Clerk, Counselor in the Bishopric, Stake Missionary, Temple Worker, Sunday School Presidency, Home Teacher, and many others.

He was a successful businessman. He owned several rental properties, which gave the children and grandchildren many opportunities to learn the value of hard work. He was a perfectionist. Whatever he did, he did it well. He was always busy and he loved working outdoors. He had a good sense of humor. He was a man of integrity. He trusted and believed in people. He was a good man who is loved and will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his wife, Carol; her children, Brent Jensen (Cedra) Logan, Cherie Adams (Dave) Logan and Tamie Taylor (Mike) Sandy;

His daughters, Janet Dahl Gerrits (Scott) Ephrata, Washington, Linda Oliver (Terry) Logan, Annette Keller (Jeff) W. Jordan, Debbie Watson (Bob) Gilbert, Arizona; 27 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchil-dren; Brothers, Arden Hansen (Faye) Pocatello, Idaho, Howard Hansen (Renae) Brigham City and Doyle Hansen (Carol) Mantua; brother-in-law, Lynn Halling, Mantua.

He was preceded in death by Margaret (wife), Faye (wife), Dennis Reed (infant son), Lisa Michelle Dahl (infant granddaughter) and Faye Halling (sister).

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, August 7, 2007 at 12 p.m. at the Brigham 20th Ward, 650 Anderson Dr. Friends and family may call on Monday, August 6th at Myers Mortuary in Brigham City, 205 S. 100 E. from 6 to 8 p.m. and Tuesday at the church from 11 to 11:40 a.m.
Interment in the Mantua Cemetery.
