Roy Millard Newman, 75, formerly of Valley Falls, died Friday, Dec. 27, 1996, at a Lee's Summit, Mo., nursing home.
Mr. Newman retired from Armco Steel in Kansas City, Mo.
He was married to Shirley Smith Sherman. They were divorced. He later was married to Iva Gruber. She survives.
Other survivors include two daughters, Barbara Vest, Lee's Summit, Mo., and Margaret Hays, Kansas City, Mo.; two stepsons, Andrew Sherman and Clarence Sherman, both of Kansas City, Mo.; a brother Frank Newman, McLouth; two sisters, Bessie Newman, Topeka, and essie Bays, Maple Hill; two grandchildren; and five stepgrandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1:30 p.m. Saturday at the Valley Falls Cemetery.
