Mr. Aebersold was born in Meade County, Kentucky near Rock Haven, February 11, 1908, the son of the late John Harlan Aebersold and Daisy Thomas Aebersold.
He was a prominent Meade County businessman, farmer and merchant for forty-two years. At the time of his death, he and his wife owned and operated the Aebersold Super Market.
Besides his widow, the former Elizabeth Florence Milby, he is survived by a son, Theodore Lee (Buck) Aebersold, daughter-in-law, Mrs. Theodore Lee (Phyllis) Aebersold, grandchildren Gaye Jean, Carol and John White Aebersold; son, Ronald Dwight Aebersold, daughter-in-law Mrs. Ronald Dwight (Shirley) Aebersold, and children, Douglas Alan and Michael Lee Aebersold, all of Brandenburg, Kentucky; sisters, Mrs. Carl (Lucille) Bowman, Louisville, Kentucky, Mrs. Earl (Gladys) Watts and Mrs. Woodrow (Edith) Berryman both of Brandenburg, Kentucky. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
A daughter, Vanna Lois Aebersold, age 10 at the time of her death, preceded her father in death in 1939. A brother, Johnnie C. Aebersold, preceded him in death in 1951.
Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, January 4, 1970 from Brandenburg Nazarene Church, with the Rev. M.C. Hash and Rev. John Coomer officiating. Interment was in Cedar Grove Cemetery, directed by Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Paul Aebersold, Lonnie Aebersold, Bobby Bowman, David Watts, John Thomas and Marshall Darnall. Honorary pallbearers were A.W. Board, Bill Pack, E.W. Thomas and Harold Darnall.
