Theodore Lee "Buck" Aebersold, 79, of Brandenburg, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2013. He was born August 31, 1933 in Brandenburg, Kentucky, the son of the late Theodore White and Elizabeth Florence Milby Aebersold.

He was a long time member and Deacon of New Brandenburg Baptist Church, a U.S. Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Beginning at age of 12,he delivered ice and milk by truck for Aebersold Market. In the years to follow, his continued deliveries including groceries and became a butcher for the market, before opening Buck's Bargain Supply in downtown Brandenburg in 1963. He also owned and operated Abe's Country Village, which he established in 1985. He was an entrepreneur and a keen business man. He was an original stockholder in WMMG radio station; loved country, country gospel, Grand Ole Opry, and going to country music shows. He was a UK fan, who loved to shop and collect things, and also loved being a part-time farmer. Most of all, he was a loving father and grandfather who loved his family very much.

He was preceded in death by his loving wife of 32 years Phyllis Jean Jupin Aebersold, a sister, Vanna Lois Aebersold; a brother Ronald Dwight Aebersold; and a nephew Michael Lee Aebersold.

Mr. Aebersold is survived by his three children, Gaye Jean Aebersold (Gary)Chapman, Carol Lea Aebersold (John) Whelan, and John White Aebersold all of Brandenburg; his second wife, Joann Cramner Aebersold of Shively, Kentucky; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Mary Jupin; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Chapman and Shirley Aebersold; five grandchildren, Gabriel Philip (Jennifer) Chapman, Gabrey Chapman Eaton, Caressa Beth Chapman, Austin Bradlee Chapman and Jeremy Lee (Jamie) Chapman; almost five great-grandchildren, Callie Jean, Atika Claire, and their expected brother, Chance Philip Chapman and Jayce and Kyler Chapman; an uncle Jim (Irene) Milby of Illinois; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Funeral services were held January 29, from the Chapel of the Bruington-Jenkins-Sturgeon Funeral Home in Brandenburg. Burial was in New Brandenburg Baptist Church Cemetery.
