Alex Anderson June 26, 1933 - June 2, 2008 Visitation is from 3-8 p.m. on Thursday, June 5th, at Hillcrest Mortuary. Services will be held on Friday, June 6th, 10:00 a.m., at Canyon Hill Assembly of God Church with Pastor Wendell Vinson officiating. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park for Alex Anderson who passed away on June 2, 2008, in Bakersfield, CA. Alex was born on June 26, 1933, in Tularosa, New Mexico to Bennie and Casimira Anderson. He had been a Bakersfield resident since 1944, graduated from East Bakersfield High School in 1951 and received an AA Degree in Drafting from Bakersfield Junior College in 1953. Alex was a Petroleumn Map Draftsman and worked for Tidewater/Getty/Texaco for 48 years. He enjoyed his family, his job, gardening, carpentry, reading and watching westerns with his (Cutie Patootie and our beloved Miss Daisy) fishing, bowling and traveling. Survivors include his beloved wife and soul mate, Hope, thank you for the most wonderful years of my life; his cherished children, son, Michael (Galoot) and his wife, Debbie; two daughters, Sharron Coscarart (Kachub) and her husband, Joey, Cynthia and Eddie Chavez; five grandchildren; one great-grandchild; two stepdaughters, Julie Thomas and Gina Cardenas; eight stepgrandchildren; and one brother- in-law, Frank Lopez. He is also survived by numerous relatives in New Mexico and Idaho. He was preceded in death by his father, mother, brother, stepdaughter, Jessica Gage and precious daughter, Sandra Anderson (Pest). Pallbearers will be Chris Anderson, Joe Coscarart, Brett Ries, Marc Morales, Kevin Thomas, Anthony Lopez Jr. Honorary Pallbearers will be Mike Anderson, Matthew Anderson, Sean Coscarart, Bryan Anderson, Anthony Thomas, Domonique Thomas, Michael Gage Jr., Frank Lopez, Steve Johnson and Pat Sentes. We would like to express our deep gratitude to Dr. Tun and his staff. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to Pastor Hope's Ministry, "God's Beauties" for Battered & Abused Women at Canyon Hills Assembly of God Church, 7001 Auburn Street, Bakersfield, CA 93306.
