I am retired so I enjoy being able to spend the time photographing headstones, transcribing and fulfilling photo requests. I spend 6 months a year at my home in Kahana, Maui and the other 6 months in California. When making requests for edits or transfer, please use the suggest a correction method from the edit tab on that memorial. When transcribing, an occasional error may happen so please be kind when suggesting a correction and/or edit. It is my pleasure to fulfill photo requests in my area and an honor for me. I always check on either side of the request to make sure that plot has been transcribed. 50% of the time it is a spouse or family member that has not been transcribed so I do both while I'm there. Update: October 6, 2017 I just returned from a two week vacation to England. While there, I was able transcribe over 1,000 markers/headstones from three different cemeteries. It was enjoyable for me to transcribe and photograph headstones from the 1700-1800's. England has so much history but a lot of it is deteriorating. It was evident in hundreds of markers I viewed in the different cemeteries I visited. I wish I could have done more while I was there. This is why I fully believe in the mission of Find A Grave to document as many headstones as possible before they possibly disappear. I travel several times a year and look forward to including transcribing/photographing while vacationing. We are all volunteers striving towards the same goal of memorializing those that have passed away. It's not about how high your numbers are in contributions, it's about leaving a legacy with each memorial page created. Feel free to use any photograph(s) that I have uploaded just give me credit for my work.If you want to leave a message please make sure I can reply and you do not have reply messages turned off. Your message will be deleted if I cannot reply. It's not about seeing who wins in the end with the highest memorial count, it's about inclusion and accuracy.
