RICHMOND, MO - An 18-year-old Rayville, Mo., man died Thursday at a hospital in Richmond from injuries he received in a two-car accident earlier in the day on Route M in Ray County, Mo.
The victim, David Carl Foster, was driving north on the highway in snow and slush when he apparently lost control of his car and slid into the path of a southbound car, Highway Patrol officials in Lee's Summit said.
Delores J. Hamilton of Lawson, the driver of the other car, was reported in stable condition at Excelsior Springs City Hospital.
Mr. Foster was a senior at Lawson High School and was active in the Swing Choir and the track and basketball teams. He was a member of the Church of Christ, 5630 Swope Parkway. He was born in Tacoma, Wash., and had lived in Rayville three years.
He leaves his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Foster of the home, and two sisters, Mrs. Gail Revell and Mrs. Charlotte Ellison of Rayville.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Lawson High School Auditorium; burial in Rose of Sharon Cemetery, Blackwell, Ark. Friends may call from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the Prichard Chapel, Excelsior Springs.
