Felix Brown Ervin, 63, a partner for 40 years in an Alexandria produce brokerage firm died yesterday at his home, 1109 South Washington street, Alexandria, after a long illness.
Born in New Bern, N.C., Mr. Ervin was reared in Raleigh, attended North Carolina State College, and came to Alexandria in 1922, when he became a partner in the W. F. Collier Co.
A long-time member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Alexandria, he was a former deacon and trustee of the church. He was an active golfer and member of the Belle Haven County Club before illness forced his retirement 10 years ago.
Mr. Ervin also was a member of the Southwest Lions Club of Washington.
He leaves his wife, the former Margaret Howard of Alexandria, of the home address, and two sisters, Mrs. P. H. Royster of Chevy Chase and Mrs. Stanley Brooks of Alexandria.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow at the Everly Wheatley funeral home, Alexandria. Burial will be in Ivy Hill Cemetery.
