Elizabeth 'Betsy' Mitchell is a daughter of Moses Mitchell Sr and Jemima 'Jennie' Cartright, both buried in this cemetery. On 4 Oct 1848, she married Andrew Taylor, son of John Taylor and Jane 'Jinsey' Noteman. (Andrew's father is buried in the New California Cemetery, Jerome Township alongside his second wife, Ann Hendricks.)

Andrew and Betsy had eleven children: Llewellyn J Taylor, Francis Marion Taylor, Izora Jane Taylor, Adrian M Taylor, Elena I Taylor, Andrew A Taylor, Adolphus D Taylor, Mary D Taylor, Ulysses Fleetwood Taylor and two children who died as infants.
