Services for Cecil A. Walton, 76, Neligh, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday at Brockhaus-Hengstler Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert Hopkins officiated with burial in Enterprise Cemetery near Orchard.

Born May 15, 1902 at Walnut, the son of Willard and Belle Walton, he died Wednesday, Aug. 27, 1980 at Antelope Memorial Hospital.

He attended Walnut rural schools and married Jennie Bruce Oct. 25, 1922 at Butte. They farmed in the Walnut and Venus area until retiring and moving to Neligh in 1976.

Surviving are his wife; three daughters, Mrs. Leonard (Margaret) Risenger of Plainview, Mrs. Vac (Alice) Kotrous of Verdigre and Mrs. Dale (Mary Ann) Robinson of Blair; six sons, Bruce and Robert of Verdigre, David of Franklin, Archie of Creighton, Larry of Orchard and William of Royal; one brother, Perry of Ceresco, Ia.; three sisters, Mrs. Iva Wiltsey of Walker, Ia., Esther Weber and Loretta Johnson, both of Plainview; 43 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
