Blanche Phlena Butterfield was born in Buchanan County, Iowa on May 22nd, 1871, and died at the Lutheran hospital in Norfolk, Nebraska on April 21, 1929. She was 57 yrs. 10 months and 29 days old. At the age of eight years she came with her parents to Knox County, Nebaska.
On January 10, 1899 she was united in marriage to George Louis Roberge at Venus, Nebraska. To this union was born one son, Lyle, now living at Page, Nebraska.
Three sisters and one brother preceeded her to the great beyond namely: Sarah Moody, Lydia Walton. Ella Montgomery and Willard Butterfield.
The living brothers and sisters are: Estella Foreman, of Venus; Cora Montgomery of Creighton; Charley, Edward, Frank, Justis, Fred and T. A. who were all present at the funeral, except one.
Mrs. Roberge was in the hospital at Nvfolk four weeks and six days suffering from a fractured hip resulting from a fall. Death was due to heart trouble. She was District Deputy of the Royal Neighbor lodge since February 4, 1920. In eary childhood she united with the United Brethren church of Walnut, Nebraska. She leave to mourn her departure, a loving husband, one son and a grandson, two sisters and six brothers and other relatives and friends. She wasaa loving and mother and a good Neighboe, who has gone to her eternal reward.
Funeral services were held at the Venus church Tuesday noon conducted bu the pastor, Rev. McKeown, of Page. Interment was made in the Enterprise cemetery. -- Orchard News.
