Patricia J. Schricker, age 78, of Janesville, died Friday, May 30, 2008, at the Huntington Memory Care 3. She was born in Soldiers Grove, WI, on Aug. 15, 1929, the daughter of Sherman and Esther (Hestetune) Banta and was a 1947 graduate of Soldiers Grove High School. Patricia married Harlis Martin Schricker on Aug. 26, 1947, at the Little Brown Church in the Vale, Nashua, IA. He preceded her in death on March 15, 1985. She was an active member of Peace Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid. Patricia also worked as a "mini shifter" at Prent Corporation and was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She is survived by her 4 children: Mark (Becky) Schricker of Sparta, Cheryl Sandeen of Madison, Pamela (John) Newman of Janesville, and Brian (Theresa) Schricker of Janesville; 6 grandchildren: Carson (Mark) Wilhite, Cara (fiance' Sean) Martinson, Nathan (Janie) Sandeen, Martin, Madelyn, and Madison Schricker; 5 great grandchildren: Maverick, Colton, and Dawson Wilhite, Rhiannon and Mackenzie Sandeen; 6 siblings: Thela Olson of Soldiers Grove, MaryLee Ivalis of South Milwaukee, William (Pauline) Banta of Madison, Nancy (Arlis) Buroker of Janesville, June (Bill) Morrison of Orlando, FL, and Gary (Betty) Banta of Janesville; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and 7 siblings: Ruth Adams, Marjorie Nelson, Gretchen Olson, Robert Banta, Elaine Bourland, Frederick Banta, and Barbara Bilikas. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 3, 2008, at PEACE LUTHERAN CHURCH with Rev. Richard Lehmann officiating. Burial will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park.
