She entered the Women's Air Force receiving basic training at Lackland AFB, San Antonio, TX and was assigned to FE Warren AFB, Cheyenne WY for duty in the Wing Adjutant's office Special Orders Section. June was employed for 35 years as a medical transcriptionist at the Orlando Heart Center. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, William (married 11/1956) and siblings, Ruth, Marjorie, Gretchen, Elaine, Patricia, Barbara, Nancy, Robert Banta and Frederick, surviving are her daughter, Lisa (Wayne) Richardson (born 7/1960), grandchildren Jared Richardson (Shannon), Christopher Richardson (Barbie) and Elisabeth (Stephen) Napier; great-grandchildren; sisters, MaryLee Ivalis, Thela Olson and brothers, William, Gary and Geoffrey. Funeral Services will be held June 8, 2013 at Reformation Lutheran Church in Orlando. Carey Hand Colonial Funeral Home in Orlando is serving the family.
