Otto spent his entire lifetime in the Nelson area. On February 11, 1925, in Mankato, Kansas, he was married to Ruby Ray. This union was blessed with 4 children.
He farmed for many years. Otto dug wells and worked on windmills under the business name of Eilers Pump And Services for many years. He operated a trucking business and did custom harvest work thrashing and shelling corn. He was a hard worker and put in many long days.
He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Ruby on May 9, 1971, and 2 sisters.
He is survived by 3 sons, John D., Robert A. and his wife Mildred, Harold E. and his wife Susan, all of Nelson; one daughter Mrs. Helen R. Bradley of Grand Island; 2 sisters, Mrs. Hattie Bargen of Nora and Mrs. Elsie Mueller of Nelson; 3 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren, other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services were held Friday, October 18, 1985, at 10:30 a.m. from the Klawitter-Price Funeral Home in Nelson, Nebraska, with Dr. Paul Samuelson officiating. Music was provided by Donna Cox, organist. Casketbearers were Donald Bargen, Lyndall Bargen, Glen Mueller, Marvin Mueller, Jim Hinz and LeRoy Hinz. Burial was in the Nelson Cemetery. Klawitter-Price Funeral Home of Nelson was in charge of the arrangements.
