DIED. Daniel C. Swank, at his home in Zuma township at 11:27 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 30, 1891, at the age of 48 years, 11 mos. and 15 days--of congestive chill.

Deceased was born in this county in January 1843, and has resided here during his entire life with the exception of four years in Kansas. He leaves a wife and five children, namly (sic), Mary, John, Ida, Sadie and Edward, the oldest being 14 years old and the youngest 3.

His father, Monroe Swank, residing in Zuma, brothers Jos. S. of Luverne, Iowa, and John Swank, of Zuma, and a sister, Sarah L. Smith, of Rushville, Neb., survive him. Deceased was a prosperous farmer, and highly respected by all who knew him.

The funeral will be held this afternoon at 1 o'clock, at the Rose Hill church.
