Mary A. Swank was born in Butler county, Ohio, on December 24th, 1820, where she resided until she was fourteen years old when she moved with her father to Montgomery county, Indiana, and was married to Monroe Swank at the age of eighteen. Two years later she moved to this county where she has lived until death. She joined the United Brethren church over fifty years ago and has lived an exemplary and worthy christian life every since. She died December 25th, 1890.
NOTE: Mary died when she was 70 years old and she died on her birthday, Dec. 24, 1890. Article says she died on Dec. 25th which is not correct.
