Marjorie A. Houdeshell, age 92, passed away Saturday, May 24, 2008 at Tompkins Memorial Health Center, Ft. Dodge. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, Callender, with Pastor Kent Wallace officiating. Burial will be in the Callender Cemetery. Friends may call after 5:00 p.m. Tuesday at Palmer Funeral Home in Gowrie.
Survivors include son, Donald Houdeshell and his wife, Carolyn of Ft. Dodge; daughter, Lois Hanson and her husband, Darwin of North Canton, OH; seven grandchildren, thirteen great-grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren; and brother, Robert Lane of Callender. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elton Houdeshell, parents, Walter and Tillie (Christiansen) Lane; brothers, Charlie, Verlyn, and Marvin Lane; sisters, Evelyn Seil, Ruth Houdeshell, and Marcelle Lane.
Marjorie A. Lane was born June 29, 1915 in Guthrie Center, Ia. Marjorie was united in marriage with Elton Houdeshell in 1935 at Storm Lake. She worked for Bud's Sollie Furniture Store and the hot lunch program in the Callender School District for several years. She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church. The Houdeshell family would like to thank Hospice of Trinity Regional Medical Center of Ft. Dodge.
