Velina Lucille Blackburn, age 85, formerly of Fulton, died Monday Aug. 28, 1995, at the Riverview Nursing Home in Mokane. She was born Oct. 22, 1909, in Portland, the daughter of Joseph and Alda Atterberry. She was married to Vollie Blackburn on Jan. 25, 1934, in St. Louis, who preceded her in death May 14, 1981.
Blackburn is survived by three sons, [Daniel of Readsville], Harrison Blackburn and John Blackburn, both of Williamsburg, one daughter, Elizabeth Holloway of St. Louis; two sisters, Orintha Madison of Portland, and Elva Kathryn Strutman of Rhineland; one brother, Elliott Atterberry of Rhineland; seven grandchildren.
Blackburn was preceded in death by her parents; husband; infant daughter, Virginia Ann; and a sister Zelia Fisburn.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Thursday Aug. 431, 1995, at the Debo Funeral Chapel in Fulton with the Rev. Diana Killian officiating. Burial will be in the Bethel Cemetery in Readsville. Visitation Will be from 6-8 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 30, at the funeral home. The family has suggested memorial contributions be made to he Alzheirmers Association or the Bethel Church.
