Flora Thornton Caudill, 65, of Starke died Monday, May 6, 2002, at Shands at Starke following an exended illness. Born in Raiford where she lived most of her life, Mrs. Caudill moved to Starke 20 years ago. She was a retired fast food clerk and member of In His Word Ministry at Starke. Mrs. Caudill is survived by: her husband of 43 years Berlie Caudill of Starke; four daughters, Shirley Mae Chasko of Ocala, Wanda Fay Thomas, Mary Lou Bartlet and Linda Sue Summersil, all of Jacksonville; seven sons, Warren Kelly of Bradenton, Henry C. Caudill, Earlie Caudill, William Coy Caudill, Willie Joyce Caudill and Quince Eugene Caudill, all of Jacksonville, and Linville Caudill of Bradenton; five brothers, J.W. Thornton of Lake City, Leslie Thornton of Boling Springs, N.C., Daniel Thornton of Raiford, Wayne Thornton of Macclenny and Charles Thornton of Lake City; a sister Betty Jean Harris of Jacksonville; 27 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Funeral services for Mrs. Caudill were May 8, 2002 in the Chapel of Archer Funeral Home of Lake Butler with burial following in Long Branch Cemetery.
