Michele Hays, 45, of Lubbock, passed away suddenly May 12, 2008, while on vacation in the Cayman Islands.
Born July 8, 1962, in Portales, N.M., she graduated from Levelland High School in 1980, and then attended South Plains College, Texas Tech University and Methodist School of Nursing to become an RN. She then obtained a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 1987 at West Texas A & M University, and became a Certified Nurse Case Manager in 1991. She loved her work and her patient/clients.
Survivors include her parents, Clint and Karen Ramsey of Lubbock, and brothers Michael Morrison, Larry Ramsey, Russ Ramsey, and Shawn Morrison, and their families, and numerous nephews and nieces, aunts, uncles and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Amy Hays, in 1988.
Michele loved people, dancing, scuba diving, skiing, and her precious dogs. She was a loving person who will be greatly missed by her family and friends, who find peace in knowing she is now in God's hands.
Cremation has taken place under the care of Alamogordo Funeral Home, Alamogordo, N.M., and a celebration of her life will be conducted at Resthaven Funeral Home's Abbey Chapel in Lubbock on Thursday, May 23, 2008, at 1 p.m.
Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park, together forever with her daughter, Amy.
