He married Merinda C. Hensley, a daughter of John Calvin Hensley and Calista Hensley.

Body of E. C. Long Is Laid To Rest
The body of E. C. Long, of Pine Bluff, Ark, and former Morgan Countian who died in the Arkansas city Tuesday morning, was laid to rest Thursday at Johnson Chapel Cemetery, a large number of Twin City people attending the services.
Funeral services were conducted at the Ninth Street Methodist Church by Rev. W. D. Barnes, the pastor and Rev. J. H. Hill.
