Mrs. Hill Dies; Rites Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Augusta A. Hill, aged 80, long time Decatur resident who died at 11:40 p.m. Tuesday at her home on 418 Gordon Dr. SE, after an extended illness, will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at the Southside Baptist Church.

The body will be at the residence until 1 p.m. Friday, and will lie in state at the church from that time until the services begin.

Rev. G.C. Walker of Trussville, will conduct the rites, and will be assisted by Rev. Goebel Phillips and Rev. W.J. Johnson.

Interment will be in the city cemetery, with Mutual Service in charge.

Survivors include the husband, E.H. Hill; one son, H. Harrison Hill; two brothers, C.W. Long, Danville 3, and N.W. Long, Decatur, and a number of other relatives.

Active pallbearers will be Alvis Briscoe, P.C. Goforth Sr, T.D. Earus, W.L. Bethany, Earl Soloman and J.C. Howell.

Mrs. Hill became a member of the Enon Baptist Church in 1907 and later became a member of the Southside Baptist Church shortly after it was organized in 1912.
