Irene was born in Tower Hill, IL to Charles E. Inman & Bertha Arvilla Fluckey Inman. She married Byron Henry Jones of Windsor, IL on Nov 11, 1920. The couple had three daughters and one son. They opened a pool hall & lunch room in Windsor in 1935 and it evolved into Jones Cafe. Irene continued to operate the restaurant after Byron died in 1948. She sold it to her granddaughter in 1975. Irene died in 1988 at age 87.
She was survived by her three daughters: Barbara, Colleen, and Vicki, eight grandchildren, and several great-grandchildren. Preceding her were her parents, her husband Byron, son Byron "Boy", son-in-law John Kasey, one brother, one half sister, two step-brothers and one step-sister.
She was a member of the Windsor United Methodist Church, and a fifty year member of the Eastern Star.
