Charles Binder, well known resident of Elkton and Douglas County, died at his home Sunday evening, after a short illness. He was born in Elliott, Iowa on April 29, 1863, and at the age of 19 came to this state, locating at Elkton. He was married to Miss Mabel Haines on June 8, 1899 at Elkton.

Besides his widow, he is survived by 2 daughters, Mrs. Lena Bossen, Elkton; and Mrs. Mary Pontius, Albany; 3 sons, George A., Carl B., and William F., all of Elkton; 2 sisters, Mrs. Mary Hart, and Mrs. Millie Brown, North Bend; a brother, Frank Binder, Elkton; and several grandchildren.

Services were held in the Methodist Church at Elkton Tuesday, Rev. Merrill H. Fox officiating. Interment was in the Elkton Cemetery. Arrangements were in charge of Stearns Mortuary, Oakland.
