September 29, 1925, he was married to Mabel E. Sykes at Ruskin, Nebraska. To this union were born three children, Donald J., Kenneth G. and Mary Ann.
Mr. Hansen farmed in Nuckolls County and then worked the the ASCS office in Nelson for 17 years until his retirement in 1967. He had previously moved into Nelson in 1957. He was a member of the Nelson United Presbyterian Church and of the Masonic Lodge No. 77. He was Past Master of the Lodge.
Mr. Hansen passed away May 8, 1975, in Lincoln, Nebraska, at the age of 72. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his widow; his children, Donald and his wife, Mona of Davenport, Kenneth and his wife, Donna of Ruskin and Mary Ann Striggow and her husband, Allen of Olympia, Washington; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Miss Inger Hansen and Mrs. Mabel Rondeau of LaGrange, Illinois and an uncle, Chris Jorgensen of Edgar.
Funeral services were held May 10 at 2 p.m. from the Nelson Presbyterian Church, Pastor Victor Schwarz officiated. Burial was in the Springcreek (sic) Cemetery at Ruskin. The Megrue-Price Funeral Home of Superior was in charge of the arrangements. Esther Wehrman, the organist, accompanied Joe Ferebee as he sang. Casket bearers were Leroy Schott, Guy Bruce, Jack Wehrman, Phillip Wehrman, Frank Harris and C.F. Bondegard. Masonic rites by the Nelson Lodge No. 77.
