Alvina L. Lucas, 71 of Road 500W, died at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1992, at Miller's Merry Manor at Hope.

She was a former employee of National Linen and a member of the Baptist Church.

Funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Roy Lambert at Barkes, Inlow and Weaver Funeral Home on Washington Street, where calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and 11:30 a.m. to service time Friday. Burial will be at Rest Haven Cemetery.

Born May 11, 1920, in Edinburgh, Mrs. Lucas was the daughter of James and Maude Coy. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Harry Richards. She married Clinton A. Lucas in 1971. He survives.

Also surviving are sons, Robert S., Ronnie, Tim and Albert Richards of Columbus and James Richards of Florida; stepsons, Charles, Kenneth, Dale, John and Ricky Lucas of Columbus; daughters, Sharon Lucas of Brown County, Terrie Mathis of Hope and Nina Harrison and Bonnie Mitchell of Columbus; stepdaughters, Betty and Janet Skaggs of Columbus; brothers, Norman Coy of Edinburgh and Sylvester Coy of Florida; several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Laurel Eugene Richards; and three sisters.
