Son of Thomas Jefferson & Missouri Adaline Nunley Bost.

After grandad moved to Chattanooga, TN from McMinnville, TN, he worked at Chattanooga Glass Company where Daddy worked. They were both boiler operators. They had to keep the gas furnaces regulated to the proper temperature to melt the glass which would be used to make new soft drink bottles and canning jars. It was a very hot job.

Granddad Bost was a big man. He was about 6 feet, five inches tall and wore a size 13 shoe. He looked like a giant beside Granny who was about 5 feet tall. Granddad was always joking and telling funny stories. I loved to sit in the porch swing beside Granddad and listen to him tell stories. Sometimes we would just swing and talk about anything that came to mind. Granddad could talk to children in a way that made them feel important. He was always happy and upbeat and lots of fun to be with.
