Myrtle C. Carlson, 73, of PO Box 72, Gig Harbor, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 5, in Tacoma. Mrs. Carlson was born in Mason, WI, and had been a Gig Harbor resident for the past 41 years. She was a charter member of the Lady Eagles Auxiliary No. 2804 of Gig Harbor. Survivors include a daughter, Shirley Capelos, Seattle; a brother Walter Berg, Gig Harbor; five sisters, Mrs. Josephine Gillis, Seattle; Mrs. Florence Robinson, Port Orchard; Mrs. Mildred Jones, Port Orchard; Mrs. Ruby Rouse, Key Center, and Mrs Francis Denton, Gig Harbor; one granddaughter, Susan Deshazer; two great grandsons and William Swartz, her devoted friend and constant companion for the past 10 years.
