Thomas Lightfoot was a Quaker minister born in 1645 in Cambridgeshire, England. He first married Mary (unknown) Lightfoot in 1678 with whom he had 4 children, Abigail, Michael, William and Katherine. In 1692 Thomas was living in County Antrim, Ireland. It is most likely that he had emigrated there in order to escape presecution as a Quaker in 1694. Thomas was living in County West Meath, Ireland, where he married his second wife, Sarah (Wiley) Lightfoot with whom he had 5 children, Elizabeth, Sarah, Samuel, Margaret and Jacob Lightfoot. In 1716 he immigrated to Pennsylvania at the ripe age of 71 with Sarah and his grown children from both marriages. In 1724 he married Margaret (Pulford) Blunston.
