William Greg McKibben, 78 of Murray, Kentucky died on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Anna Mae Owen Hospice House in Murray, Kentucky.


Born Sunday, August 12, 1945 in Metropolis, Illinois, he was the son of the late George McKibben and the late Ruth Lawrence McKibben.


He received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Illinois and a Master's Degree from Southern Illinois University. Greg married Kay Jones in June of 1968.


He retired from the Tennessee Valley Authority after 31 years of service as a Land Use Manager. He served 3 years in the United States Army, including one year in Vietnam, where he was awarded the Bronze Star and a Purple Heart. After retirement, he worked part time for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).


He was a member of Westside Baptist Church and also a Kentucky Colonel.


He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Martha Kay Jones McKibben; son, Bill McKibben (Soo-Jin) of Murray, KY; brother, Gary McKibben (Debbie) of Anna, IL; sister, Diane Hutchins (Roger) of Golconda, IL: and granddaughter Hannah McKibben of Murray, KY.


There will be no services.
