OLATHE--James Richard Brown, 67, died early this morning at the Montrose Memorial Hospital. He was born on Oct. 23, 1898 at Milam, Tex., where he spent his boyhood. He was a farmer and member of the Olathe Baptist Church and had lived here since 1947. He married Allie[sic] Marrs Sept. 7, 1919 at Dawson, Tex. Surviving are his wife; three sons, Rubin of Montrose, Hames of Portales, N. M. and Howard of Austin, Tex.; three daughters, Mrs. Anna Mae Cast of Texas, Mrs. Roy Adams of San Angelo, Tex. and Mrs. Jerry Sanders of Lubbock, Tex.; his mother, Mrs. Roxie Brown of Pinedale, Tex.; 19 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Services will be at the Olathe Baptist Church at 2:30 p. m. Sunday. The Rev. W. E. McGuire will officiate. Burial will be in the Olathe Cemetery. The Montrose Funeral Home is in charge.
