Joseph Mihelich Sr.

East Detroit -- Joseph Mihelich Sr., 81, of 22154 Beechwood died Saturday at Mount Clemens General Hospital after a long Illness.

He was born in Yugoslavia Sept 16 1884, the son of Joseph and Margaret Mihelich. He came to the United States 45 years ago and had lived in Macomb County for 32 years.

He retired in 1955 as a partner in the Metal Masters Co., East Detroit and served 25 years as president of the Detroit Lodge No. 121 lovanian National Benefit Society.

He is survived by five sons, Joseph, William J. and George, all of East Detroit; John, Detroit and Mike, Commerce; foru Daughters, Mrs Mary Saroski, Mrs Rose Hribar,Mrs Ruth Drobnich and Alice Majcrowicz, all of East Detroit; 26 grandchildren and 22 graet grandchildren. Also surviving ia a sister Mrs Margaret Staudahar, Yugoslavia.

Services will be held at 9 am at the Read-schultz Funeral Home, 21705 Gratiot, East Detroit and at 9:30 am at St Veronica's Church, East Detroit. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Detroit.

The rosary will be said at the funeral home at 8 pm Monday.
