1st Lt assigned to the 115th Infantry Regiment of the 29th Infantry Division. Service number, 02040751. Participated in the D-Day landing at Omaha Beach on 6 June 1944. Killed in action while clearing the St. Laurent-sur-Mer draw that allowed vehicles, supplies, and men to enter into the interior of Normandy, France. Awarded the Distinguished Service Cross, and Purple Heart.
