Please don't leave photos of the Vietnam Memorial Wall at the find a grave memorials created at the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC, that are not of the actual wall, for example the traveling wall, pictures of the wall with the name artificially highlighted etc. Nothing beats a picture of the wall than a picture of the actual wall. Personally I think doing otherwise is quite tacky. There are plenty of helpful volunteers in that area who have graciously fulfilled dozens of my own photo requests.

Also please make sure the photo you post is listed under the correct category. There are many photos of the veterans posted to those sites that have been classified as grave photos. It makes it difficult for photo volunteers to narrow down memorials which lack a photo of the wall (grave).

The memorials at the National Vietnam Veterans Memorial are marked as monument sites. It doesn't presume to be the burial place of the Vietnam veterans etched on the wall. Therefore they are not considered duplicates. The goal is to have a place where one can easily browse the veterans on that wall, where they are buried and hopefully learn more about their backgrounds. As it stands, one would first have to know the names of each soldier to be able to research their story. The link placed in each bio points to their resting place, when possible, and acts as a starting point to learn more about the veterans honored on the wall.
