Wanda Z. Gore, age 84, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2018 at her home in Jacksonville. The family will receive friends for visitation on Tuesday July 17, 2018 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. in George H. Hewell & Son Funeral Home, 4140 University Blvd. ,S. A funeral service will be held at 11:30a.m. on Wednesday July 18, 2018 in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, 7665 Ft. Caroline Rd. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, 4535 N. Main St.

Wanda was born January 20, 1934 in Logan, Utah to Theodore Zilles and Lilly Anderson Zilles. She was one of eight siblings. She was a long-time resident of Jacksonville and, along with her husband Dick, was the co-owner & operator of Dick Gore's R.V. World. Wanda was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. Wanda was dedicated to her family, and she enjoyed traveling and adventure. She was also known as the Queen of Christmas.

Wanda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Richard Jack "Dick" Gore in 2002 and his son Matthew Gore in 2010. She is survived by her children: daughters Linda Gordon, Jacqueline Wanette Sanford, Robin Gore & Paulette Abernathy; sons Michael Richards and Richard Gore; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren and by many nieces, nephews & extended family & friends.

Flowers are welcome, however, memorial donations may be made in Wanda's name to Community Hospice & Palliative Care, 4266 Sunbeam Rd., Jacksonville,FL 32257.
