Mystery Surrounds Finding of Mangled Body of Murderer's Father
Mystery surrounds the finding of the mangled body of John Priano, 63, beside the Lehigh Valley tracks at Geneva yesterday. He is the father of Guy Priano, who was sentenced here for the murder of Mrs. Edith Johnson Romeo, in Geneva in April. Priano is serving 20 years in Auburn prison for the crime.
Authorities have not been able to determine whether John Priano, the father, had been hit by a switch engine or a freight train, both of which p[assed the spot a few minutes before the body was found.
He was a section hand on the New York Central railroad, and lived on Avenue B, a short distance from the station. It is believed that he had been visiting friends and was returning home.
His wife died last spring.
