CALVIN ERICKSON
Mr. Calvin Erickson was born in Adams County, Indiana, June 1st, 1860 and departed this life at his home at Oak, Nebraska, January 26, 1926 which was his 41st wedding anniversary, aged 65 years, 7 months and 25 days.
He was united in marriage to Alice A. Allen, Jan. 26, 1884. To this union eight children were born.
His wife, six children and nineteen grandchildren survive him: Ernest Erickson of Yuma, Colo., Lora of Walthill, Nebr., Mrs. Pyrl Schmitt of Nelson, Dora Burkett and Pansy Shipley of Oak and Max of Omaha.
Mr. Erickson was one of the earliest settlers in this county and the greater part of his life was spent in and around Oak, Nebraska. He also leaves one brother, Ralph Erickson of Elizabeth, Colo., and two sisters: Ellen Hauser of Nelson and Etta Pauline of Kalispell, Mont. to mourn his departure.
The funeral service was conducted by Rev. J.B. Kipple on Thursday, Jan. 28 when a large number of relatives and friends assembled to pay their respect. Interment was made in the Oak Grove cemetery (sic).
