My husband's paternal aunt

Gertrude "Trudi" Louise Anderson, named after her maternal grandmother, born and raised on the "East Side" of Chicago, Illinois, passed away on Tuesday, October 24, 2023.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, November 3, 2023 at 12:00 PM at White Funeral Home located at 921 W. Glen Park (45th) Ave. Griffith, Indiana. Friends may meet with the family, also on Friday, November 3, 2023 from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at White Funeral Home.
Trudi graduated from George Washington High School. She worked at Ewing Dental with many friends, co-workers, and a team of dentists for 30 years. Trudi was especially fond of her Aunt Millie and Uncle Lyman Caliban who lived down the block. She always recalled many happy memories of family holidays and get-togethers with so much food spread across the big dining room table. Trudi loved Christmas best!
Trudi loved her partner, Rodney Ross, who she found later in life and made a life with in St. John, Indiana. She loved her home and fed the birds that gathered on her patio every day. Trudi had a gift for caregiving, always accepting those challenges with all the love in her heart. She took great care of her mother Charlotte, and subsequently her partner Rodney when faced with terminal illness.
Trudi loved music. Her favorite station was WXRT. Trudi was a "rocker". Her favorite rocker was Robert Plant, especially his hit Addicted to Love. The quiet Beatle, George Harrison was also one of her favorites.
She was intrigued with her paternal Swedish and her maternal German heritage, some of whom arrived in the United States in New York City and settled in Nashville, Tennessee.
Trudi was wise, gentle, serene, and as beautiful as she was kind and giving. She will be truly missed and remembered for her loving, kind, and gentle spirit.
Rest high on angels' wings.
