*This is the third time I have made a memorial for my husband's grandfather, Vincent Axel Anderson. The two other times they were stolen by people who thought they knew better than family. I spoke with Donna at Oakland Memory Lanes on 09/17/21 at 1:05 p.m. She stated definitively that Vincent's wishes were to be cremated. His ashes were scattered at the cemetery, not interred.

Anderson, Vincent -- late of the East Side of Chicago passed away May 25, 1989 at South Chicago Community Hospital. Survivors: wife, Charlotte (nee Caliban); one son, Vincent R. (Pat); one daughter, Trudy; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Claude E. Griesel Mortuary, 10240 S. Ewing, Chicago with the Rev. Ernest Francis officiating. Cemetery Oakland Memorial Lanes, Dolton, Illinois. Family, will be available for visitation Friday 2 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Anderson retired from the Standard Oil in 1974. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Association.
