*This is the third time I have made a memorial for my husband's grandfather, Vincent Axel Anderson. The two other times they were stolen by people who thought they knew better than family. The original memorial was created on March 20, 2013. Vince was cremated, his ashes scattered in the area designated for cremains, per his wishes, per Donna who works at Oakland Memorial Lanes, Dolton, IL on Sep. 17, 2021 at 1:05 p.m.*

I spoke with Donna at Oakland Memory Lanes on 09/17/21 at 1:05 p.m. She stated definitively that Vincent's wishes were to be cremated. His ashes were scattered at the cemetery, not interred.

ANDERSON, VINCENT
Anderson, Vincent -- late of the East Side of Chicago passed away May 25, 1989 at South Chicago Community Hospital. Survivors: wife, Charlotte (nee Caliban); one son, Vincent R. (Pat); one daughter, Trudy; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Saturday 10:30 a.m. at the Claude E. Griesel Mortuary, 10240 S. Ewing, Chicago with the Rev. Ernest Francis officiating. Cemetery Oakland Memorial Lanes, Dolton, Illinois. Family, will be available for visitation Friday 2 to 9 p.m.
Mr. Anderson retired from the Standard Oil in 1974. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Heart Association.
