Deacon Jones was a faithful member of First Bryan Baptist Church where he served in many capacities. He was a Sunday School Teacher, a member of the Layman and Deacon Ministry. He was also a former member of the Mutual Benevolent Society. Survivors: wife, Deaconess Ruby D. Jones, two children, Joy Jones Bruton (Robert), Pooler, Ga., and Timothy Jones, adopted daughter, Ms. Samantha Betton, Jacksonville, Fl., two sisters, Mrs. Geraldine Jones McBride, Brooklet, Ga., and Mrs. Caretha Jones Smith, six grandchildren, god-son, Solomon Jones, Athens, Ga.; three sisters in-law; five brothers-in-law and many other relatives and friends.
