Juanita Jones Jackson died Saturday, September 20, 2003 at home. She was born in Bulloch County and was educated in the public schools. She received her Bachelor of Business Education from Savannah State College and Masters of Business Education from University of Georgia. She taught for over 33 years in the Chatham County at Thompkins High School. Mrs. Jackson was a member of First Bryan Baptist Church, Senior and Mass Choris , Deaconess Board, Finance Committe, Sunday School and Superintendent at the Church. She was a member of the Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Mutualettes and other professional organizations. Survivors: husband, Samuel Jackson Jr. of 50 plus years; daughters, Catherine Stokes of New York and California, and Sandra (Ravenel) Lang of Fort Belvoir, VA.; sisters, Geraldine McBride of Brooke and Carletha Smith; brother, George Jones; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren and other relatives. Funeral services for Ms. Juanita Jackson will be Friday, September 26, 2003 at First Bryan Baptist Church at 3:00 p.m. Rev. Edward L. Ellis, Jr. officiating.
