The people of Martinsburg, were shocked Wednesday afternoon, the 22nd, when it was learned that George Franklin Brown had died suddenly at his home, death being due to neuralgia of the heart. He was 62 years old. He was born on the old Brown homestead farm (now the Keith farm) south of Martinsburg. His widow, the former Mary Mentzer survived, along with these children: Mrs. William S. Sanders, Mrs. John B. Cox, Luther, Elwood, Ethel and Lucy. Interment was to be made in Fairview cemetery.
