MRS. SUSAN I. BURKET ; Wife of George S. Burket, died at her home on South Market street, Martinsburg, Wednesday evening at 9:40 o'clock, death being attributed to dropsy of the heart.
She was born near Martinsburg Nov. 22, 1856, the daughter of Daniel and Susan Brown, both deceased.
She. was united in marriage with George S. Burket on Nov 25, 1875, who survives, with one son Jesse H. Burket of .Philadelphia, and two daughters, Mrs. Cora Kensinger of Martinsburg and Miss Mary Burket, at home. One sister, Mrs. Catherine Law of Curryville, and six grandchildren also survive.
She was a member of St. Matthew's Lutheran church since childhood.
Funeral services will be conducted at the home Saturday morning at 10 o'clock and interment will be made in Spring Hope cemetery.
