Stella A. Gettic, 82, of Donahoe Manor, Bedford, formerly of Saxton died at 6:45 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 1, 1986 at the Bedford County Memorial Hospital. She had been in failing health for the past several years.
Born Sept. 23, 1903 in Hollidaysburg, she was the daughter of Albert and Emma (Spahn) Foor. She was twice married. The first union was to Chester Donelson who preceded her in death in 1943. The second was to John Gettic who preceded her in death in 1964.
Surviving are two sons and two daughters: Elvin Donelson of Saxton; Mrs. Leah Ramper of Broad Top City, R.D.; Mrs. Helen Shehan of Cassville and Charles Donelson of Robertsdale. Two sons preceded her in death. There are 24 grandchildren, 41 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Also surviving are three sisters: Mrs. Freda Johnson and Mrs. Edith Reed of Saxton and Mrs. Vera Foor of Six Mile Run. Four brothers and two sisters preceded her in death.
Mrs. Gettic was a member of the Brethren in Christ Church of Saxton.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4 at the Albert N. Masood Funeral Chapel, Saxton, the Rev. Blaine Kauffman officiating. Interment will be made at Duvall Cemetery, Six Mile Run.
Friends may call at the funeral chapel from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday.
