"A LOVING MOTHER TAKEN.
Mrs. Lena Carlson of Sutter City Dies From Attack of Pneumonia.
Death called a well known and dearly loved woman of Sutter City last Monday, Mrs. Lena Carlson, loving wife of Frits Carlson. Her death was caused by pneumonia, resulting from an attack of Spanish influenza. The deceased was a native of this State, aged 35 years, and a good Christian woman, kind and charitable, one who was esteemed and loved by her relatives and friends. Upon her family the blow falls very heavy as she was devoted to her husband and children who will sadly miss her. Besides her husband she leaves two sons, Byron and Wilford Carlson, and four daughters, Lucille, Norma, Nylda and Enorma Carlson. Also her mother and one sister, Mrs. Anna McLean, and three brothers, Frank Lytken in the service and now in France, William Lytken of Tudor and Hans Lytken of Sutter. Mr. Carlson has also been seriously ill.
The funeral was held Wednesday morning, Rev. L. C. Carroll officiating. There were many floral offerings. Interment was made in the cemetery at Sutter City. The family has the sympathy of the community in their sad loss."
