Services for Mabel B. Schroeder, 90, Lake Park, were 2 p.m. Thursday, July 26, 1990, at the First Presbyterian Church, Lake Park. Rev. Randall Knuth officiated. Music was provided by Marian Tuinstra, organist, and Kenneth Byers, soloist. He sang "In the Garden." The congregation sang "The Old Rugged Cross" and "God Be With You Till We Meet Again."

Pallbearers were Steve Hewlett, Mike Nugent, Daniel Pell, David Pell, Don L. Schroeder and Roy Schroeder.

Mrs. Schroeder died Sunday, July 22, at the Lake Park Care Center.

She was born Oct. 24, 1899, at Taopi, Minn. to Iver and Annie (Andersen) Uglum. She graduated from Grand Meadow High School and Winona Teachers College.

She married Harvey Schroeder Feb. 20, 1924 at Jackson, Minn. They farmed at Sioux Valley until 1932 when they moved to a farm near Lake Park.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lake Park, the United Presbyterian Women, the Order of Eastern Star, Practical Pleasure Club, and the Rebekahs, where she served as Nobel Grand. She also served on the Lake Park school board and various committees in the church.

Survivors include her husband, Harvey; two daughters, Mrs. George (Erma) Nugent, Milwaukee, Wis., and Mrs. Don (Joan) Hewlett, Ankeny; two sons, Donald, Sioux Valley, Minn., and Robert, Lake Park; two sisters, Mrs. Ross (Alice) Swickard, Corona Del Mar, Calif.; and Mrs. Conrad (Inez) Schissel, Adams, Minn.; 12 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three sisters, two brothers, and one daughter, Janice Pell.

Burial was in the Silver Lake Cemetery, Lake Park. Turner Funeral Home, Lake Park, was in charge of arrangements.
