Mrs. Nancy Avritt, 84 years old, a well known and highly esteemed woman, died late last Thursday afternoon at her home at Bradfordsville. Death followed a 2 weeks illness and due to infirmities of old age. She was a native of western Kentucky, but had lived the greater part of her life in the section in which she died.

Her husband, James F. Avritt, died 28 years ago. Mrs. Avritt was a consistent Christian woman, having been a member of the Christian Church over 60 years. The funeral services were held at the residence Friday afternoon and were conducted by Rev. H.E. Jarboe. The burial was in Old Liberty Cemetery.

Five children, 2 sons and 3 daughters survive. They are: J.F. Avritt, William Avritt of Greenwood, IN, Mrs. C.C. Peyton, Mrs. R.L. Weatherford, Miss Nannie Avritt, all of this county. One sister, Mrs. Cinda Robinson, and 2 brothers, Jack and George Gray, of Illinois, survive.
